Optimal conditions include soft water, CO2 injection, nutrient-dense aquarium soil and medium lighting. This aquarium plant species may be used near the mid ground and can also be considered as a unique foreground aquatic plant. Hydrocotyle Verticillata, sometimes also known as Whorled Pennywort or Shield Pennywort, is a great aquarium plant for beginner hobbyists as well as experienced aquascapers who are seasoned in caring for aquatic plant species.
