We only ship livestock and plants Monday – Wednesday. All other products can be shipped Monday – Friday. To ensure livestock does not sit in the couriers warehouse over the weekend.

Returns

Non-livestock items are returnable within 7 days upon purchasing. If the item is found to be in working condition, the client will be liable to cover ALL shipping fees. If items is faulty, a full refund or replacement will take place and shipping will be covered by Aqua Atlantis.

Unlike most aquatic plants, Marimo Moss Balls are not true moss but are actually a type of filamentous green algae that naturally form into spherical shapes. Their soft, velvety texture and ease of care make them a favorite among aquarists of all levels, and they are well-suited for use in both freshwater tanks and terrariums.

Care Requirements:

Lighting: Marimo Moss Balls thrive in low to medium lighting. Bright light can cause them to grow more quickly, but too much direct light may lead to yellowing. Indirect or gentle light is ideal.
CO2: CO2 supplementation is not required for Marimo Moss Balls, making them perfect for low-tech aquariums.
Water Parameters: Marimo Moss Balls are very adaptable, doing well in slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH range of 6.0-8.0 and temperatures between 18-28°C. Cooler temperatures are generally preferred.
Cleaning: Since they can collect debris, occasional gentle cleaning is recommended. Simply remove the moss ball from the tank, rinse it under aquarium water, and gently roll it to maintain its spherical shape.

Planting Tips:

Place the Marimo Moss Balls directly on the substrate or any flat surface in the aquarium. They do not need to be attached to any hardscape.
To encourage even growth, rotate the moss balls occasionally so that all sides receive light.
Marimo Moss Balls are compatible with most freshwater fish and shrimp, as they do not require special care and are resistant to nibbling.
