Cryptocoryne x willisii
Cryptocoryne x willisii is a hybrid aquatic plant, resulting from the cross of Cryptocoryne beckettii and Cryptocoryne wendtii. Known for its attractive long, slender leaves and rich green coloration, it is an excellent addition to aquariums, providing a natural look with its elegant foliage. This hybrid offers the best traits from both parent species: hardiness, compact growth, and vibrant texture.
Cryptocoryne x willisii thrives in low to moderate lighting and requires stable water conditions. It is relatively easy to care for, although like other Cryptocoryne species, it may undergo a temporary “crypt melt” when first introduced to new tanks or altered water conditions. CO₂ supplementation and nutrient-rich substrate promote healthy growth, but it can adapt well to low-tech setups as well.
Perfect for midground to background placements, this plant’s slender leaves and bushy growth make it a beautiful focal point in aquascapes.
