RTG Hygrophila sp ‘Chai’

This is an extremely rare mutation of the more commonly known Hygrophila Lancea Araguaia. This aquatic plant features leaves that are olive red with light pink tips that grow in a similar fashion to regular Araguaia. This aquatic plant is so rare, we don’t really have much information about it aside from the fact that it’s very difficult to get. Quantity is limited and supply is infrequent.

RTG Lobelia cardinalis TC

R199,95

Grown in a coconut fibre mini-pot to plug and grow in the tank. Packed in a breathable blister packaging to go. Lobelia cardinalis grows wild in Northern America. In the nursery this plant is cultivated in marshy conditions, forming dark-green leaves which are purple underneath. In aquariums the leaves turn a beautiful shade of light-green, with stems 10-30 cm tall and 5-10 cm wide. Widely used in Dutch aquariums in so-called “plant streets”. In open aquariums it grows above the water surface, where it forms very beautiful scarlet flowers and the leaves regain their colour. Can be used in garden ponds.

RTG Ludwigia Dark Orange TC

R199,95

Ludwigia Dark Orange, sometimes known as Ludwigia Sp. Atlantis is a beautiful aquarium stem plant that can show different shades of yellow to dark orange colors in a planted tank. Coloration depends on the care it is given and the lighting used, but there is great potential to produce beautiful pops of color in a planted aquarium. Like other stem plants, Ludwigia Dark Orange can be propagated by trimming the stem and replanting. Trimming should be done frequently to achieve a bushy style that is sought after by enthusiasts. The growth rate is moderate and can be encouraged with Co2 and a nutrient source.
