Fiery Color and Lively Personality for Active Community Tanks

The Serpae Tetra is a bold and beautifully colored freshwater fish, instantly recognizable by its deep red body, black dorsal fin, and distinctive black “comma” near the gills. Native to slow-moving rivers and streams of the Amazon Basin, this energetic species brings both color and movement to tropical community aquariums.

Best kept in groups of 6 or more, Serpae Tetras display playful schooling behavior and look their best when paired with a dark substrate and dense plant cover that contrasts with their vivid coloration.
