The Flame Angelfish is a fiery and vibrant dwarf angelfish species, instantly recognizable for its bright red-orange body and bold vertical black bars. Native to coral reefs in the Central and South Pacific, especially around the Marshall Islands and Tahiti, this small but stunning fish is a favorite in both reef and fish-only saltwater aquariums.

Please note: We ship Livestock Monday-Wednesday to ensure a safe and prompt delivery. Please plan your orders accordingly. We mostly sell Juvenile livestock, adults will be sent if available. We do not sex livestock for customers a mix of males and females will be sent if there is availability.

Please note: If the size and weight of your order exceeds the standard box shipping size extra courier fees will be communicated to you after you have placed your order. Due to the complexity of this it can not be calculated during checkout. The website will only calculate the minimum shipping Charge. This is company Policy.

We only ship livestock and plants Monday – Wednesday. All other products can be shipped Monday – Friday. To ensure livestock does not sit in the couriers warehouse over the weekend.

Returns

Non-livestock items are returnable within 7 days upon purchasing. If the item is found to be in working condition, the client will be liable to cover ALL shipping fees. If items is faulty, a full refund or replacement will take place and shipping will be covered by Aqua Atlantis.

Common Names: Flame Angel, Flame Dwarf Angelfish

Size: Up to 4 inches (10 cm)

Lifespan: 5–7 years, sometimes longer with excellent care

Temperament: Semi-aggressive

Diet: Omnivore – eats algae, spirulina, mysis shrimp, and high-quality marine pellets/flakes

Reef Compatibility: With caution – may nip at corals, especially LPS and clam mantles

Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons (50+ gallons recommended for long-term health and territory)

Appearance
The Flame Angel boasts an intensely red-orange body with vertical black bars along the sides and electric blue trim on the dorsal and anal fins. Its compact size and bold coloring make it a true standout in any saltwater tank.

Care Requirements
Tank Setup: Requires plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding, as well as open swimming space.

Diet: Feed a varied omnivorous diet including marine algae, spirulina, mysis/brine shrimp, and angelfish-specific foods with sponge content.

Behavior: Can be territorial, especially in smaller tanks or with other dwarf angels.

Compatibility: Best kept alone or with other semi-aggressive species in moderate to large aquariums. Avoid housing with other Centropyge species unless in very large tanks.
