Appearance
The Neon Wrasse goes through color changes as it matures:
Juveniles have a bright yellow body with a blue stripe running from the snout to the tail.
Adults (males) transition into a striking mix of blue, green, and purple shades with a yellow head, making them one of the most vibrant wrasse species.
Care Requirements
Tank Setup: Requires a sand substrate for burrowing at night and plenty of rockwork for exploring.
Behavior: Active swimmer that constantly hunts for small pests in the tank. May become territorial toward other wrasses.
Compatibility: Works well in community tanks with semi-aggressive fish. Avoid housing with slow-moving or timid species.
