It is ideal for the background or midground, where its vibrant, bushy growth adds texture and height. Grown in-vitro, this plant arrives free from pests, algae, and contaminants, ensuring a clean and healthy start for your aquarium.

Key Features:

  • Feathery, Delicate Leaves: Myriophylum aquaticum ‘Guyana’ is known for its lush, bright green, feathery foliage, creating a soft, flowing effect in the aquarium.
  • Fast-Growing: This plant grows rapidly under the right conditions, providing a bushy background or midground feature in your aquascape.
  • In-Vitro Cultivation: Grown in sterile conditions, this plant is free from pests, algae, and pathogens, ensuring it can be safely introduced to your tank.
  • Versatile Aquascaping: Its fine, feathery leaves make it perfect for creating contrast and adding visual interest to aquascapes, especially when combined with broader-leaved plants.

Care Requirements:

  • Lighting: Myriophylum aquaticum ‘Guyana’ requires medium to high lighting to maintain its compact, bushy growth and vibrant green color. In lower light, the plant may grow leggy and lose its compact form.

  • Water Parameters: This plant thrives in slightly acidic to neutral water, with a pH range of 6.0-7.5 and temperatures between 18-28°C. Nutrient-rich water and substrate will support healthy growth.
  • Trimming: Regular trimming helps maintain the plant’s bushy appearance and encourages side shoot development. Trimmed sections can be replanted to propagate new plants.

Planting Tips:

  • Rinse the plant thoroughly to remove the nutrient gel before planting in your aquarium.
  • Plant Myriophylum aquaticum ‘Guyana’ in nutrient-rich substrate, spaced evenly in the midground or background for a bushy, dense appearance.
  • Provide medium to high lighting and CO2 supplementation to encourage faster growth and a compact form.
