Tomato Clownfish
Amphiprion frenatus
The Tomato Clownfish is a bold, fiery-orange to reddish reef fish with a single white head stripe and a personality to match. One of the hardiest and most beginner-friendly clownfish species, it’s a great choice for new marine hobbyists or those looking to add a splash of color and charisma to their tank.
Tomato Clowns are native to the Indo-Pacific and are naturally hosted by Entacmaea quadricolor (Bubble Tip Anemones), although they do not require an anemone to thrive in captivity. Their energetic behavior, ease of feeding, and resistance to common diseases make them a popular and low-maintenance addition to fish-only or reef aquariums.
