Preparation & Usage

WIO Ibon Biotope Bed is pre-washed and ready to use, although a gentle rinse can help remove any remaining fine dust.

For the most natural results, distribute the substrate unevenly, allowing the larger pebbles to settle among the finer sand and gravel. Position it around your main hardscape to recreate the appearance of sediments deposited by flowing water.

When filling your aquarium, pour water slowly over a plate or hardscape element to avoid disturbing the substrate. Remove any floating debris with a net.

For heavily planted aquariums, combine Ibon Biotope Bed with a suitable nutrient-rich planting substrate, as it is primarily designed for decorative and biotope applications.

Important: Some natural mineral components may slightly increase water hardness and pH. Monitor water parameters when keeping sensitive soft-water species.
